I have a coarse wheel on one side 60grit Bay state gray wheel and a very fine wheel on the other I think its a 180grit browntan colored wheel by Norton, leaves a beautiful polished edge. I hone my tools after grinding. The more polished the edge, the better your finish. Now for carbide.
